Life with Sickle Cell Disease can be a hard journey. As sickle cell warriors we face challenges and hardships as we navigate through this world. My personal connection to this battle spans over 40 years, and I understand the struggles all too well. Despite the immense trials, I've gathered profound insights about myself and how to coexist with this condition. This wisdom, however, did not come without its share of pain and tears. Our hope is to share the lessons learned from our personal journey to make the path a little less agonizing for others.
KnowThySickleCD, stands as an organization dedicated to the betterment of Sickle Cell Warriors. A pivotal aspect of our mission revolves around the mentorship of newer, less-experienced warriors, guiding them through their own life journey. We firmly believe that advice carries greater weight when it originates from a source that is truly relatable—a source that has endured the agony of a crisis, occupied a hospital bed, and knows all too well the lingering effects post-hospital discharge.
